After the near-disastrous endurance test, Galaxy Z Flip 4 has been subjected to the classic teardown from JerryRigEverything: as always, it is an opportunity to observe smartphones in more detail, and when dealing with leaflets the matter becomes even more interesting, including the Z Flip 4.
As mentioned, the foldable did not come out well from the previous test, with the magnets no longer working which prevented the smartphone from remaining closed in the correct position. Not only, because at the time of folding something inside had snapped, probably a part of the hinge.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 opens quite easily, once the flexible display is removed, it is possible to appreciate how Samsung has positioned each individual component under the body. The panel, to be honest, cannot be removed entirely as it is still attached to the motherboard. To remove it, you have to open the smartphone from the back: from here it is possible to separate the display which, once released from its structure, remains in a position slightly bent inwards.
Instead, the two batteries cannot be removed, this would cause damage that is no longer repairable. Once all the components have been removed – internal and external cameras included – you can appreciate Samsung’s technological choice regarding the hinge, very different from last year, without gears and which in fact corresponds to what has already been seen on Galaxy Z Fold 4.
