The Galaxy Z Flip 4 hit the market together with the Fold 4, being Samsung’s new foldable duo with a focus on different audiences. While the biggest one is aimed at those looking for a hybrid between cell phone and tablet, the Flip attracts those nostalgic who miss the old cell phones in this format.
In terms of design, we had few changes between generations. Samsung has changed the finish of the glass and metal, while also making a slight reduction in the edges around the screen. However, it’s basically the same as before, but a little stronger in the folding mechanism.
The screen delivers the same brightness and fluidity as before, as well as the sound part that doesn’t show any progress. If in the multimedia part there was no evolution, in performance we see a good leap. The new one comes equipped with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and 8 GB of RAM and in our multitasking test it showed to be faster than the Galaxy S22, in addition to heating up less. The battery has grown and lasts longer compared to its predecessor.
The cameras don’t show a big leap either. Despite continuing with two 12 MP sensors at the rear, the main one comes with a new sensor that captures more light and details. In the end, the Flip 4 is only slightly better at capturing photos and videos, while other cameras deliver the same quality as before.
