Galaxy S23, Plus and Ultra are updated: 2.2GB of news

The update that Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra have started receiving in these hours in Europe it is one of the full-bodied ones that does not go unnoticed. In short, Samsung it didn’t limit itself to releasing monthly patches of safety on the entire range (but be careful, a fourth model could arrive shortly), introducing quite a lot of new features that mainly concern the performance of the camera.

It was worth the wait this month because the firmware S91xBXXU2AWF1 (2.2GB) goes far beyond the laconic changelog in which in practice none of the new features introduced are reported. As often happens, in fact, the South Korean company reported

• device stability improvements, bug fixes
• new and/or improved features
• further performance improvements

And, as usual, Samsung recommends updating proprietary apps once the new firmware has been installed. In the 2.2GB we find important refinements the first users who installed the update shared some details online:

• introduction of the option 2x zoom in portrait mode
• autofocus issue correct
• image processing in night mode “slightly different than before” (this point will have to be investigated further)
• transitions and smoother One UI animations
• small improvements in feedback haptic
