As well as the Galaxy A14, Samsung has also been working to deliver the Galaxy A54 in the first quarter of 2023. However, according to rumors, the company could end up surprising a lot of people with a change in the main camera of the mid-range model.
That’s because the smartphone can be launched with 50 MP sensor instead of the 64 MP of the Galaxy A53 and A52s. According to the leak sources, the change is happening because Samsung wants to use a new sensor on the A54.
Another change that should also happen in the 2023 model is the loss of the depth sensor. Apparently, Samsung wants to make this adjustment on all devices in the Galaxy A family, making the devices only have three rear lenses.
With the change, Samsung saves and delivers the depth effect via software, something that is fully possible in One UI 5.0. This adjustment could also bring the new Galaxy A54 closer to the Galaxy S23 in the design field.
As Samsung is making even the Galaxy A14 look more like its premium S-line smartphones, so can the A54 by adopting three “loose” rear cameras.
For now, the other details about the Galaxy A54 remain unclear, but the device is expected to keep the 120 Hz screen, stereo sound and also water resistance.
In the field of connectivity, we should still expect 5G support with two SIM chips, Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 5.
So far, Samsung has not commented on the leak.
