At Freepik and its Flaticon project we can find photos, vectors, icons and a lot of graphic material in general, but until now they hadn’t focused on the world of video or audio.
That will change from now on, as they have announced the purchase of the Videvo platform, a British company that offers more than 500,000 videos, audio clips and motion graphics.
More than 650,000 users, from the US, Canada, Australia and the UK, use this huge database of multimedia material, users responsible for having increased billing by more than 40% in the last two years.
Freepik Company thus adds Videvo as part of its products. It already has Freepik, Flaticon, Slidesgo (presentation templates) and Wepik, its online editor, so a protagonist of the video world will allow to enter a completely new segment.
The goal is to offer Freepik users access to all those videos, audio clips, and motion graphics resources, to make it easier to create content for personal and/or professional projects, without having to jump from one database to another.
Videvo is known for having a high quality of resources, and has its own subscription model. Now, with the integration within Freepik, they hope to double Videvo’s revenue in the next few years, working hand-in-hand with the Videvo team.
It has been ten years of history for Videvo alone, now they will strengthen their position in the stock video market thanks to the integration with one of the most important brands in the world in the distribution of graphic resources.
