After making Battlefield 2042 available to PS Plus Essential subscribers, EA announced this week that the game is available for free to all players on Steam! Players can join in-game combat at no additional cost until March 16th.
With the recent release of Season 4: Final Hour, there’s no better time for new players to check out Battlefield 2042 and its four seasons of new maps, Specialists, weapons, and more.
This opportunity also accompanies the Return to Class System, creating a more structured and understandable role that players are used to on the battlefield.
Four classic and familiar classes – Assault, Recon, Support and Engineering – return, along with weapon improvements, balance, audio/visual improvements, and a rework of the Thaw map.
