Google released the first preview of Android 14 yesterday and, since then, several novelties found in it have been reported as native support for DualSense, cloning of applications for the use of several accounts on a device and today 9to5Google found another change dedicated to tablets with improvements to the app bar.

In the image below we see how the application bar was in Android 14 DP1, which now displays subtitles with the names of the applications, which can be very useful to identify which ones are open and pinned to this bar at that moment, increasing accessibility for people with some type of visual impairment such as color blindness, for example.

It’s worth noting that the screenshot above was taken on a mobile phone that had its DPI level changed to 600 so the new feature would be visible, so the final look might be different on a tablet.

Speaking of tablets, the Google Pixel Tablet should receive new versions of well-known applications such as the Google Assistant and Discover. We hope that these enhanced versions of applications for large screens are not exclusive to the Google tablet, as they can be very useful for all tablet users.
