Redmi Pad variant has new rumors released after receiving 3C certification

Rumors released in recent weeks point to the possibility of Xiaomi launching a new variant of the Redmi Pad tablet on the global market. Despite the scarcity of information, leaked documents show that a laptop of the Chinese brand recently received 3C certification and had part of its technical sheet leaked, reinforcing that it is an intermediary.

According to a post on Weibo, an Asian social network similar to Twitter, the laptop will be launched in two variants with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with 4G and 5G versions. Although Redmi did not reveal details, speculation suggests that the 5G version will bring the MIUI Lite interface, 67W charging and single camera.

In parallel with this, the LTE model should undergo reductions by adopting fast charging with a power of 22.5W and a 7,800 mAh battery to power the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset — octa-core up to 2.2 GHz with 6 nm lithography — in Mali-G57 MC2 graphics card assembly and an 11.2-inch IPS LCD screen.

There is no information on the possible release date of the new tablets, however, informant Mukul Sharma suggests that prices should range between 250 and 350 euros, around R$1,300 and R$1,820, respectively.

Redmi Pad variant receives 3C certification and specifications are revealed

A new variant of the Redmi Pad has received 3C certification, which serves to attest to the quality of the product in China. In this way, some specifications of the new Xiaomi tablet were revealed and they show more basic attributes. It is worth remembering that the normal model was launched with a Snapdragon 870 processor.

The SoC that the brand’s new device should be on board is from MediaTek, model MT8781, manufactured by TSMC and made in 6 nanometers. The chip does not yet have an official name, but its characteristics resemble the Helio G99. That is, there are 6 Cortex A76 cores operating at 2.0GHz and 2 cores and 2 Cortex A55 cores operating at 2.2GHz.

The GPU must be a Mali-G57 MC2 and the tablet must support 4G networks. In addition, its battery must have a capacity of 7,800 mAh and fast charging of 22.5W. This is not yet the device with a 14-inch screen that generated rumors in the month of July, but it will have an 11” display with 2K resolution.

The refresh rate of this panel, however, has not yet been revealed, as are some other details. It is not yet known how much RAM and Storage the product should have. However, the chip supports up to LPDDR4X, so at least the technology is already known, in addition to being UFS 2.2.

Even if it doesn’t have an official release date, it shouldn’t take long to reach the market, since the certification indicates that the model has already passed the testing phase. That way, we can only wait for the official launch that reveals all the details about the tablet.
