Duolingo is working on a new initiative that could become your go-to for learning music.
Although there are many apps to learn music from your mobile, having a Duolingo proposal sounds more than interesting. We have already seen his system for teaching languages and mathematics, and he could soon expand his offer to music.
A new proposal to learn music
Last year, the Duolingo team introduced their new math learning platform, Duolingo Math. With the same didactic approach and gamification system that has made its language teaching so popular, Duolingo makes learning math fun.
And now it’s going for more. As mentioned in TC, Duolingo is developing a music application. It appears he has been assembling a team that will take full care of this project, as can be seen from the latest job applications posted.
At the moment, there are no details about this new initiative, so we don’t know what approach Duolingo will take to learning music. It may follow the same line that we have already seen with languages and mathematics, helping users to start from scratch with the basics.
So maybe this future Duolingo app will help users to learn the basics of music as a basis for further learning, or to apply it in different musical areas. Or it may focus on teaching users to play instruments starting from scratch.
Of course, it will not be a project that we see in the near future, since launching a project with these characteristics is not easy. For example, we have seen that with Duolingo Math it has taken more than a year from the announcement of the project to opening the beta program of the platform.
Although there are a lot of apps for learning music, taking into account different levels, it is exciting to know that Duolingo will have its own proposal. We have already seen that its learning system is fun and practical, so it could work perfectly for those who want to learn music from the basics.
