Dublin Traffic LIVE: Major delays expected as car goes up in flames on the M50

A car has gone up in flames on the M50.

The incident occurred on the J11 Tallaght Southbound.

Dublin Fire Brigade, gardai and an ambulance service are currently at the scene.

A garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: “Gardai and Emergency Services are currently at the scene of an incident on the M50 Junction 11 Tallaght.

“We have no further information available at this time.”

Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted: “We’re currently dealing with a vehicle fire on M50 Dublin J11 Tallaght Southbound. We’re working with M50 services to get everyone moving as quickly as possible.”

There are traffic delays on the M50 so drivers are urged to avoid the area.

There is also a vast amount of thick smoke in the area, so drivers are advised to be careful.

M50 update

Dublin Fire Brigade are finishing up at the scene of the incident and the road will be cleared soon.

They thanked road users for their patience.

This comes after a report of a vulnerable person near the line.
