The “Test Build” markings are distributed on the screen with an individual number, which Blizzard could use to locate the person responsible.

Blizzard has not yet commented directly on the gameplay leak. Immediately after the leak, however, the development studio announced beta phases in which more interested players can lend a hand. First, Blizzard wants to host a closed beta aimed at frequent players of “Diablo 3” and the remaster of “Diablo 2”. To do this, the studio wants to evaluate the gameplay data from applicants.

The application should be sent by October 11th, Blizzard demands. By November 18th, select Diablo fans will then be notified if they have been accepted into the Hack’n’Slay closed beta program. It can be played on the PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Playstation 5 and Playstation 4. Crossplay between the platforms is supported, and the game progress of an account should be shared across the platforms.

In the coming year, the developer studio also wants to offer an open beta for “Diablo 4”, in which anyone who is interested can take part. This public test phase should begin early next year, writes Blizzard. After a release postponement, Blizzard also states the release date of the full version as 2023.

Diablo 4 was announced in 2019. In the meantime, Blizzard has released a remaster of the predecessor “Diablo 2”, which went on sale under the name “Diablo 2 Resurrected”.
