We’re always on the lookout for a solid deal on Microsoft Surface devices, which is why we were delighted to find Microsoft running discounts across its top-of-the-line Surface Pro devices. But the best offers aren’t there.

Unsurprisingly, the discounts are being mirrored by amazon, which often outdoes Microsoft’s best offers (even if by pennies) – this time, however, Currys PC World comes out on top if you take advantage of its online trade-in offer.

Currys’ trade-in program is currently offering a minimum £50 off, guaranteed, when you buy a new Windows 10 laptop worth up to £749 – but the discounts get sweeter the higher your budget is, which will likely be the case if you’ve been eyeing a high-spec Surface Pro device. This is how Currys trade-in program tiers its discounts:

  • Spend up to £749 and get a guaranteed £50 back
  • Spend between £750-£999 and get a guaranteed £75 back
  • Spend £1000 or more and get a guaranteed £100 back

This means that you can effectively pick up the Surface Pro 7 with a Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for £714, which saves you £110 off the £899 RRP, plus another £75 with the guaranteed trade-in value. Amazon’s asking price for the same device is £789, as is Microsoft’s.

Bumping up the storage to 256GB would cost £1049 with Curry’s existing £120 discount, but the guaranteed £100 trade-in offer drops the price further to £949.

Head to Currys to see all it Surface Pro 7 offerings. You can also go to Amazon and Microsoft to compare prices and availability.
