Platforms that allow users to create their own games have always been very successful.

Roblox and Crayta are two great examples of this category, and now it is Facebook that wants to enter fully by opening the doors to the subject.

craytafor those who don’t know, is a platform that allows gamers to create, share and play with other people, and now it’s coming to the Facebook Gaming cloud streaming service.

It uses Unreal Engine 4, and it has thousands of games created by players, games that we can use to add or complement our own. It’s a mix of Roblox and Fortnite, with rotating seasons, battle passes and the option to customize avatars, but we can also share a game with a single link, so that our friends can join with a click from the browser.

Facebook, on the other hand, bought in 2021 Unit 2, the British studio behind Crayta, a platform that was only available for Google Stadia in 2020, and which was expanded to PC through the Epic Games Store last year.

This is how Crayta will now come to Facebook Gaming, without the need to pay a subscription to Google Stadia or download the game to the computer. The free game will be hosted on Facebook and only one account will be required to start.

While Meta’s VR platform Horizon Worlds reached just 300,000 users earlier this year, it looks like non-VR games will continue to fuel Facebook’s Gaming sector.
