A new report from Bloomberg Today he talks about what to expect from this year’s Apple Watch Series 7. While some rumors had been reported, we now know that the Apple Watch S7 will come with exclusive new faces to take advantage of its larger screen, today’s report is more specific on what to expect.

The report confirms that Apple plans to market the Apple Watch Series 7 in two sizes; 41 mm and 45 mm.

Will we see an Apple Watch Series 7 with a bigger screen?

First, Bloomberg says that the new 41mm and 45mm sizes refer to the vertical dimension of the case. The Apple Watch screen will measure roughly 1.9 inches on the 45mm model, up from 1.78 inches on the current 44mm model. The 45mm model will reportedly have a resolution of 396 × 484 pixels, compared to the 368 × 448 pixel resolution of the Series 6. This gives the Apple Watch Series 7 16% more pixels than its predecessor. .

As such, this will give the Apple Watch Series 7 the extra screen real estate for the new watch faces. Bloomberg details that the new watch faces include Modular Max, Continuum and a new world time face:

  • “Modular Max” will display the time digitally along with a small complication with larger complications spanning the length of the display stacked one on top of the other below. That’s an update to the current Modular Infograph, which may show only one big complication.
  • “Continuum” will change according to the flow of time and the current time.
  • A world time clock face, called Atlas and World Timer internally, will allow the user to view all 24 time zones simultaneously. An outer dial shows time zones, while the inner dial shows the time at each location. Users will be able to choose to view the time in digital or analog. This watch face is similar to those popularized by Patek Philippe, Breitling, and Vacheron Constantin.
