HarmonyOS 6 on Huawei Watch D2: what’s new in the update
Let’s start with the most interesting update: Huawei Watch D2 — which we told you about a few hours ago for a tempting offer in which it is the protagonist — is receiving the ad update HarmonyOS 6 and it is a nice surprise: at the end of October, the Chinese manufacturer had started the distribution of the public beta of the update for a series of devices, but now, although the stable version is not officially rolled out even at home, the firmware is already appearing on the global model of Watch D2.
As can be seen from the screenshot below, Huawei Watch D2 is receiving HarmonyOS 6 with the firmware version 6.0.0.12 in an OTA file of approximately 47 MB. There are several interesting new features mentioned in the update changelog, ranging from a new health-themed dial that shows real-time data to dedicated reminders for measuring blood pressure. - Introduces the dial HealthMatewhich shows your health data in real time and allows you to take measurements with just a few taps.
- Adds a function reminder for individual blood pressure measurements. The watch automatically alerts the user at the chosen time, making it easy to set up a regular measurement routine.
- The heart rate measurement app includes the data relating to Heart Rate Variability (Heart Rate Variability – HRV), measurement animations and detailed heart rate recordings during training sessions and recovery for daily workouts. The user interface has been improved with more content for a more complete user experience.
- Optimizations:
- Optimizes system stability in certain situations.
Huawei Watch 4 Pro: the news of the update
Moving on to Huawei Watch 4 Pro, the roll out update is undoubtedly less full of new features: the new firmware weighs 435 MB, however the only new feature mentioned in the change log is represented by the October 2025 security patch. Below is the screenshot of the update, which introduces the firmware 4.3.0.607.
How to update Huawei smartwatch
If you own a Huawei Watch D2 and/or Huawei Watch 4 Pro and want to manually check the availability of the new update for your wearable, all you have to do is open the Huawei Health app using the associated smartphone, select the device tab and then “Firmware Update > Check for Updates“.
