BOOX Note Air5 C
The new BOOX Note Air5 C It arrives two years after its direct predecessor Note Air4 C and, while once again configuring itself as a “tablet style” e-book reader, it gains some innovations that aim to improve productivity and daily use experience.
The “tablet” keeps the same screen E-Ink Kaleido 3 Paper 1200 from 10.3 inches of the previous generation model but gains the magnetic connection (via pogo pin) for attaching one dedicated keyboard (which turns it into an e-reader workstation), support for the new pen Pen3 (inspired by the design of a traditional pen) and integration with Android 15 (with support for Google services and Google Play Store).
The device debuts with firmware BOOX v4.1 which introduces advanced tools for productivity and creativity: we have infinite notes (possibility of writing on a virtually unlimited work area), functions to automate complex operations and improve workflows (such as AI Smart Scribe, Crop OCR, Period And Smart Assistant) and cloud synchronization.
Under the body there is an unspecified SoC from Qualcomm with an octa-core CPU, supported by 6GB of RAM memory e 64GB of internal memory, expandable with microSD (up to 2 TB). From a connectivity perspective, we have WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and a door USB-Cuseful for recharging the integrated battery from 3,700 mAh.

Palma 2 Pro it is designed to accompany the user everywhere, thanks also to a weight of 175 grams and dimensions absolutely comparable to those of a smartphone. The display is a E-Ink Kaleido 3 Paper 1200 from 6.13 inchesa completely different technology from what we find on smartphones.
The panel offers delicate and natural colors, perfect for reading books, comics and digital magazines, leaving out reflections, a typical advantage of technology ePapers. We then have a dual-tone front light that automatically adapts to the environment; thanks to the firmware BOOX V4.1 there is space for four optimized lighting modes; Furthermore, there is the function EinkWise which automatically adjusts refresh rate and color rendering based on the task at hand.

Like a smartphone, this e-book reader runs the Android operating system (version 15 and with Play Store like the other new arrival). We then find support for 5G networks via Nano-SIM which can be inserted into a hybrid slot (SIM and microSD).
The beating heart is the same Qualcomm CPU that we find in the “tablet” model. This time we have though 8GB of RAM memory e 128GB of storage space (expandable up to 2 TB). From a connectivity point of view we also have Bluetooth 5.1 And WiFi 5. A battery is then integrated 3,950 mAh which recharges via USB-C port.
This is not a cutting-edge technical sheet, especially when compared to that of a smartphone: this device focuses on concreteness from a performance point of view, focusing on what it does best, namely the e-book reader.
