The Microsoft team announced a series of new features that are coming to Bing, and that will improve the user experience.
New features that harness the power of artificial intelligence to present information from search results in a more user-friendly way.
AI-generated stories, Instagram-style, in Bing search results
In the past few weeks, we’ve already seen what we can do with the new Bing chatbot. And Microsoft continues to push this proposition forward with new updates that improve its capability. However, this does not mean that you are abandoning your search engine, Bing.
It is also releasing features that improve its dynamics. For example, the Microsoft team announced that Bing will show AI-generated stories in some search results. Yes, stories similar to the ones we find on Instagram, which combine images and text, and scroll like a carousel:
Bing will now also create AI-generated stories that give you multiple ways to consume small information, through text, images, video, and audio.
So we will see images and videos with additional content related to our search. And if we wish, we can activate the sound of the stories, so that Bing reads the content with background music.
A fun and simple way to show relevant information about the search that the user is doing, without having to enter any website, since it is displayed from the same results. Of course, this dynamic will not appear in all search results, since we will only find it in those topics that allow adding context. If you do a quick search for a recipe, this additional content will not be created.
The Microsoft team mentions that AI-generated stories in Bing search results are available in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, Italian, among other languages.
