Ubisoft this week released a free update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Content includes new in-game activity, completion of the Tombs of the Fallen arc, and a feature called Rune Forge.

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft has also released special rewards for all players in the franchise.

In addition to the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla content released by Ubisoft this week, other free content will come to the game in October with the Oskoreia Festival and through the end of the year with The Last Chapter arc.

This week, users can also enjoy artwork that artists around the world are creating as part of the franchise’s celebrations and which are part of an exclusive digital art exhibit available on the Assassin’s Creed website.

The new free content coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla today are:

  • The Forge of Runes it is available to be built in the players’ settlement once it has been upgraded to Level 4. With the forge, players can turn their current gear perks into new runes in exchange for silver. (Rune Forge content is not compatible with items from expansions: Wrath of the Druids, The Siege of Paris, and Dawn of Ragnarök.)
  • Players can play the final part of Tombs of the Fallen. To venture into this last part, you must find your way through three mysterious tombs equipped with ancient traps and complex puzzles. Only the most dedicated players will discover the buried secrets of an ancient civilization. Scattered across England, enigmatic tombs are available from the moment players unlock Ravensthorpe, their settlement.
  • Special rewards via Ubisoft Connect. Players can take advantage of the AC15 pack to paint their character’s skin with a set of tattoos.

During the Oskoreia Festival, which will run from October 20th to November 10th, players will participate in the Wild Hunt, defending their settlement from harmful spirits and proving the strength of Clan Raven. The event will offer activities, quests and a wide variety of new rewards. Later this year, new content will be released, including the story of The Last Chapter, the last chapter of the game.
