Apple Store Germany mistakenly publishes the 16-inch MacBook Pro …
Leaks often happen at the hands of experts or by those who have access to certain inside information. However, this time everything seems to indicate that it was an error of the same Manzana. And it is that an Apple Germany user was looking for the 16-inch MacBook pro but in the description it appeared labeled with an M1 Chip.
Apple Germany mistakenly reveals 16-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Chipset
It has long been rumored that Apple would be preparing new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros with their own processor, the Apple M1. But now everything seems more to be confirmed … and due to an error from Apple Germany.
According to Flo’s Weblog, a reader in Germany, he was browsing the Apple Store and looking for the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Once he found the product, he proceeded to configure the hardware options, however he was in for a big surprise.
The Apple user wanted to share the product with a friend and noticed that Apple Messages included the words, in German: “Now with the new Apple M1 chip…”. The Cupertino company’s messaging platform resolves links so that recipients can see a preview of what is being sent to them. Notably, this text does not appear when sharing MacBook Pro settings from the Apple Store app in other countries.
Apple has not expressed itself before this “error”, nor has it indicated when the 16-inch MacBook Pro will be updated. It should be noted that currently the computer of the Cupertino company comes with an Intel processor. On the other hand, the Silicon Valley giant is in the second year of a two-year transition from Intel to Apple Silicon processors, and there are persistent rumors about when the 16-inch model will be moved to the M1.
