In the latest Apple Music beta app for Android, Apple may have revealed the name of its upcoming classical music app suggesting a debut not too distant in time.

Last year, the Cupertino-based company completed the acquisition of the Primephonic classical music streaming service which offers search and navigation capabilities. specially optimized for classical music. Commenting on the deal, Apple had claimed that Primephonic’s strengths would become part of “Apple Music”providing subscribers with a better experience for listening to classical music.

In addition, Apple had also stated that in the course of 2022 it would launch a new app dedicated to classical music, which combines the user interface and the specific functions of Primephonic dedicated to classical music with ‌‌Apple Music‌‌ and its Lossless and Spatial Audio functions.

The name of this app was never mentioned however, between the lines of the beta version of ‌Apple Music‌ for Android there is a reference to “Apple Classical” in a string relating to the possibility of opening a track directly in the optimized service

Apple also recently posted an announcement looking for a UX designer who will be tasked with working on the new music app. According to the description, the candidate should “to provide UX skills and new perspectives specific to Primephonic” in order to help create a distinct experience for classical music that includes aspects “visual, auditory and tactile”.

Staying on the musical theme, earlier this week Apple acquired AI Music, a startup that uses artificial intelligence to generate custom soundtracks and adaptive music.
