Apple may launch new smart device to compete with Nest Hub and Echo Show
Apple would have in its plans to intensify competition in the smart home device market. The company is working on a competitor to the Nest Hub and Echo Show for the future, according to information from Bloomberg.
Sources say the device would be a kind of “low-cost iPad”, to act as a hub to control the connected home – such as thermostats, lights and security systems. It would also allow you to do video chats over FaceTime.
The intention is for the product to be mounted on walls, using magnetic clips. There would still be the option to position it as a home hub, that is, more inclined on a surface – unlike a conventional iPad.
Another possibility would be to have a larger screen option than the brand’s tablet, in addition to other old rumors signaling the presence of a kitchen accessory – a dock – to combine an iPad with a speaker – something that could be the future design of the device designed by the Cupertino giant.
In addition to this possible smart home device, Apple may also launch a new version of the Apple TV in the future, with a faster processor and the same look as its predecessor. It is slated for release in the first half of 2024.
In turn, the future domestic hub of “Apple” should not be ready until next year, however without any expectation for its announcement.
