Anker launches compact 5,000 mAh MagSafe power bank on the eve of the iPhone 14

This Tuesday (23), Anker launches a new product for its MagSafe power bank catalog, from the MagGo line. Thinner, with a expected 7.5W output, the new 5,000mAh power bank is specially designed for the latest iPhones with magnetic charging technology and a compact design.

Smaller than the previous model, launched in 2021 with the arrival of the iPhone 13, the new Anker MagSafe Power Bank has many of the same specs as the previous model. It works with an internal 5,000mAh battery that can deliver 7.5W speeds over the main magnetic wireless charging pad — there’s even a USB-C port on the bottom for refilling the accessory.

The overall shape hasn’t changed, but the thickness is thinner and the device is lighter. It will definitely be an appreciated change for anyone who uses one of these power banks on a regular basis and should be a better match with Apple’s latest handsets.

As the new baseline model in the MagGo lineup, this scaled-down Anker MagSafe Power Bank is a direct replacement for its predecessor. The first model launched when the iPhone 12 hit the scene two years ago and is now being replaced by a much more attractive form factor.

In parallel, we saw a device that is the opposite of this one, a foldable 10,000mAh MagGo Power Bank, which has a much bulkier and more robust body to accommodate twice the battery capacity. Then there’s also a 5,000mAh option with a built-in stand that offers some extra functionality for those who want to have a stand for their iPhone while it’s charging.

Even so, the slim new Anker MagGo MagSafe Power Bank is the most affordable in the range, arriving for US$ 49.99 (R$ 250).
