O Android TV 13 it has finally been released and is available. However, not all devices can make use of the new operating system of the Google for TVs. The software announcement was made in December 2022 and is now the final version, which can only be used by developers for now.

In other words, the only device the system can be installed on is the ADT-3 dongle, which is a developer kit that has received previous versions of Android TV in the past. This device has already been discontinued and should receive a new version soon.

Generally speaking, these updates do not affect the user experience with devices such as Chromecast or sticks with Android TV installed. Likewise, these updates may never appear on these home products. Among the novelties of the update are improvements in audio and adjustments in the operation through the HDMI port.

Information about the new update was given by Google itself on a page for developers. It is worth remembering that despite the announcement having been made in December, not even a link to download the file for the development kit was released.

Regular users should receive feature updates differently, occurring through applications present in the operating system itself.
