Amazon has just given its annual conference dedicated to the presentation of its future products. The American giant has notably lifted the veil on the Kindle Scribe, a brand new e-reader. Its main feature? It is possible to take notes on the e-Ink screen thanks to an integrated stylus.
As you may know, Amazon held its annual conference dedicated to the presentation of its future products and services this Wednesday. The American e-commerce giant notably presented its new wireless headphones Amazon Echo Budstwo new Echo Dot as well as the 3rd generation of Fire TV Cubeadvertised as the most powerful Fire TV streaming media player on the market.
In addition, the company has also lifted the veil on the Kindle Scribe, its brand new e-reader. It marks its difference with the previous models on a specific point: she carries a stylus so users can take notes directly on the device’s e-Ink screen.
Amazon presents the Kindle Scribe, its latest e-reader
“Annotate millions of books, stay organized and inspired with to-do lists, planners and notebooks, and view documents imported from your phone or computer”, Amazon ad.
Displayed at €369.99, the Kindle Scribe is equipped with a 10.2″ e-Ink Paperwhite display displaying a resolution of 300 dpi. This panel has anti-reflective technology and adapts the brightness according to the ambient lighting. According to Amazon, the screen was designed to “reproduce the feel and fluidity of pen on paper, creating a natural and comfortable experience”.

A basic or premium stylus depending on your budget
Regarding styluses (Amazon will offer a basic and a Premium), they require no charging. They can be attached beautifully to the side of the eReader, and they offer “a variety of line widths, a highlighter mode, erase functions and an undo tool, all easily accessible from the on-screen write menu”.
About Premium style, it will have an eraser on top and a customizable shortcut button. According to the manufacturer, this Kindle Scribe will offer a resolutely Premium experience, in particular thanks to the function Sent to Kindlewhich lets you import personal documents from your PC or smartphone to the eReader.
The Kindle Scribe is available for pre-order from this Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from € 369.99 in tungsten gray. Different storage options are offered, namely: 16, 32 or 64 GB. The price will also vary depending on the stylus chosen (basic or premium).
