Today, for the first time in three years, Samsung Electronics has held a face-to-face Unpacked event in San Francisco, where it has introduced new products, led by a new generation of premium Galaxy S23 mobile phones.

New Galaxy S23 series
Unsurprisingly, Samsung has officially introduced the new Galaxy S23 series, which, following the example of previous years, includes the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. One of the main focuses of improvement has to do with the cameras. Samsung says all the cameras are getting an upgrade, not just the big sensor on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. All models may record 4K Super HDR video at 60 fps in the rear and front camera.
Still photos will also see a similar HDR benefit, and Samsung has explained how its pixel binning technology on the various sensors of the camera. Basically, the sensors will combine four pixels into one, which will reduce the resolution of the image, but also add more information to help process the images.
Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra (with S Pen support again) replaces the conventional 108 MP camera with the new 200 MP ISOCELL HP2 camera. Both telephoto sensors remain unchanged, while there are new sensors for ultra-wide and selfie use cases, the latter being a new 12 MP camera.
The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus have a 50 MP main camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), a 12MP ultra-wide angle and a 10x telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, along with a 12MP selfie camera. On the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23, the camera also has an improved look. The contour case has been removed, ushering in a new era of Galaxy design.
Thanks to the ever-evolving One UI software, the Galaxy S23 series is the latest to introduce excellent night photography capabilities. Not only the Ultra models, but also the basic models and the Plus models also boast excellent night photography skills that will blow your mind.

The Galaxy S23 series runs the software One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 pre-installed. Samsung’s impressive software policy will make them eligible for major updates up to One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 (tentative name), as well as regular patches until February 2028.

The Galaxy S23 series also has a wider variety of recycled materials than any other Galaxy smartphone, including pre-consumer recycled glass and aluminum and post-consumer recycled plastics from discarded fishing nets, PET bottles and water barrels.
New Galaxy Book 3 series
Samsung Electronics also today introduced the Galaxy Book3 series, its latest flagship line of PCs that includes the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, Book 3 Pro 360 and Book 3 Pro. The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, Samsung’s new premium notebook, features ultra-high performance computing, the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 features a 2-in-1 convertible form factor with S Pen functionality, and the Galaxy Book 3 Pro is the slimmest foldable device in its category.
