Apple should launch the AirPods Pro 2 in the 2nd quarter of this year, is what a rumor suggests. Apparently, the accessory should replace the traditional lightning connector with a USB-C input, a change that meets the new guidelines imposed by the European Union, which determined the use of USB-C in cell phones, headphones and other electronics.
According to information shared by informant Ming-Chi Kuo, the wearable’s charging case should support Qi wireless charging, thereby improving the user experience. He believes that the evolution in the charging port will be a novelty exclusive to the Pro variant, so the more affordable versions should not bring the evolution.
There is no information about the availability of the device, but the informant believes that the product can be launched between the months of April and June of this year. The price is still unknown, however, it is believed that Apple should launch this version costing approximately US $ 249, about R $ 1,320 in direct conversion.
This value corresponds to an increase of US$ 50 (~ R$ 265) just for replacing the lightning port, from the company itself, with the USB Type-C format. The other characteristics must be maintained, including the design of the headphones and audio resources, so the next release will only bring the new connector as an exclusivity.
