AirPods Max Get Adaptive Transparency Feature in iOS 16.1 Beta

The 3rd beta of the iOS 16.1 operating system, made available by Apple last weekexpanded the feature called “Adaptive Transparency”, which now also works on headphones Premium AirPods Max headphones.

According to the website MacRumors, the AirPods Max owners who run the firmware 5A304a reported accessing the adaptive transparency option in the Settings app in beta versions most recent from iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16.1.


It should be noted that the third beta of the respective Apple operating systems also introduced the adaptive transparency function on the second generation AirPods Pro headphones and for the original AirPods Pro.

Revealed with the AirPods Pro 2, the transparency mode adaptive promises decrease specific sounds, like loudspeakers at a show, sirens and construction machines, for example, allowing users to hear what’s important around them.

Also, other new features of iOS 16.1 are battery percentage for more iPhone models such as iPhone 11 and iPhone 13 mini and a modification to the battery indicator, which now has a dynamic icon when the percentage is on.

The update also added a clean energy upload option, live activity API, and the option to remove the Wallet app. For iPad users, Stage Manager has been released for older models with A12X and A12Z chips.
