The Intel Arc A370M is one of the dedicated graphics for laptops with which the chip giant will recover its presence in the sector. They will be officially presented at an event that Intel has scheduled for March 30, but we already know some of the models where they will be released.

Last week we saw the Galaxy Book2 Pro with the latest from Intel. A laptop with a 15.6-inch OLED screen and 1080p resolution, very thin and light with aluminum chassis and internal hardware upgraded to 12th generation Intel Core processors, Alder Lake, and the aforementioned dedicated graphics. This seems to be the base configuration that the rest of the manufacturers will use.

Another one is Acer with a 16-inch laptop and native resolution WQXGA for 2560×1600. Mount 16 Gbytes of LPDDR5 memory and an M.2 SSD connected to a PCIe 4.0 port for internal storage. The configurations we have seen so far start at a price of 1,299 euros with a Core i5-1240P processor and a second with a Core i7-1260P priced at 1,549 euros.

The big news is Intel Arc A370M, a graphics card with 4 Gbytes of dedicated VRAM memory on a 64-bit bus, which will be part of the entry range that Intel will announce next week. The company said it would offer double the frames per second of the most powerful integrated graphics, the Xe 96 execution units, although they are not expected to offer great performance for big games.

It should be the perfect companion for these low-power Alder Lake CPUs that these ultra-light laptops will use and be able to handle light gaming just fine. We will have to wait to check its concrete level. It must be said that Intel will also market two other top series for laptops, A500 and A700.

The latter will be aimed at large gaming laptops, in configurations that speak of 512 execution units; 4,096 shader cores and 16 Gbytes of dedicated memory on a 256-bit bus. On Wednesday of next week we will have the opportunity to tell you all the details. And as we have been saying months ago, it will be important to have a third major manufacturer that provides alternatives to NVIDIA and AMD.
