At the annual IFA 2024 trade show, which is about to start in Berlin, Acer announced the expansion of its Swift AI notebook line with new models based on Intel Lunar Lake, Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus, and AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors. According to the manufacturer, each of them can work autonomously for more than 24 hours when watching videos and more than 17 hours when performing high-performance tasks.
Acer said that when buying a new Swift AI notebook with an IPS display and a 65 Wh battery, the Swift 14 AI models starting at $1,199 and Swift 14 Go AI starting at $999 should expect the following battery life:
– versions with Intel processors – 23 hours of web surfing, 29 hours of video playback;
– versions with AMD processors – 19 hours of web surfing, 27 hours of video playback;
– versions with a Qualcomm processor – 19.5 hours of web surfing, 28 hours of video playback.
The updated Swift AI line of devices differ not only in terms of battery life. In addition to the IPS display, the Swift 14 AI model will be available in a version with a premium OLED display. Users will be able to choose between versions of the laptop with Intel Core Ultra 5 or Intel Core Ultra 7 chips (model SF14-51), as well as an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor (model SF14-61).
The Intel-powered model will be available with either a 3K or 2K OLED display, while the AMD-powered model will only be available with a 3K OLED display. The IPS display option will give you a 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device comes with up to 32GB of RAM. The AMD-powered model can also be equipped with up to 2TB of SSD storage, while the Intel-powered model comes with up to 1TB. There are two USB Type-C ports, with the Intel-powered models featuring Thunderbolt 4 ports and the AMD-powered models featuring USB4. There are also two USB Type-A 3.2 ports and an HDMI 2.1 interface. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are supported. The Swift 14 AI will retail for $1,200 and will go on sale later this month.

The device features a 14.5-inch display – you can choose between an IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a maximum brightness of 350 nits or a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a brightness of 300 nits. Both are less bright compared to the versions with Intel and AMD chips, but they support a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

It supports up to 32 GB of RAM, has a 1440p camera, a fingerprint scanner, two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.
