I’m talking about the gaming laptop Predator Helios 3D 15 next-generation, now supporting the powerful 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-13900HX processor and NVIDIA® GeForce® RTXTM 4080 GPU for notebooks. This model combines SpatialLabs’ eye tracking solution, stereoscopic 3D display, and real-time scene rendering technologies to bring stunning 3D scenes, objects, and characters to life on its 15.6-inch screen.

It will be available in Spain from June, starting at 3,999 euros, and it is really quite impressive to see 3D content without the need for glasses. It is impossible to capture something like this with a mobile, since two eyes are necessary to see 3D content, and the mobile’s camera is one, but in these images one can get an idea of what it can offer.

In the sample I saw the content of the Predator Helios 300, as seen in this Short, and these are my impressions:

  • The content is really impressive, but it is not very comfortable to spend several minutes looking at it. Sometimes you have to zoom in and out a bit to see perfect 3D content, and that’s hard when you’re gaming. Keeping the head always in the same position so that the 3D effect is adequate, is only possible for a demo, not for a game session of hours.
  • It is necessary that the content that is being viewed is programmed for that effect, it does not work with any game, so there has to be a very positive reaction from the developers for it to really make sense to invest so much in a computer like this.
  • The material of the computer, its weight, its texture, its screen quality… everything is perfect, it justifies that it is around 4000 euros, but personally I would not launch myself into something like that yet.
