a pinch of iphone on your samsung galaxy: so you

Do you like the aesthetics of the iPhone in the menu of last open apps more than the one offered by Google as generic on Android? Well, the Samsung Galaxy allow you to customize this menu with the appearance of iOS: all officially and with Samsung’s own applications. You can even customize it with other styles, to your liking.

Google adopted the vertical card interface for its menu of last opened apps, but it is not as comfortable as it should be since “thumbnails” take up too much screen space; making moving between all the apps in the background cumbersome. Apple solved that problem quite well. And Samsung allows you to change the menu to adopt the efficient look of stacking cards: Good Lock makes it possible.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(“div-gpt-out”); });

In Android there is a generic way to show the last opened apps: as a vertical thumbnail of the screen that occupies practically all the available space. In addition, there are brands that offer their own look, often very different; as is the case with Xiaomi and its square miniatures distributed in two rows. In my opinion, the stack of cards is the most practical way to combine comfort and aesthetics, I think the iPhone has better resolved the main multitasking screen.

Samsung offers an application of applications with which to personalize your phones to the extreme: Good Lock. It is one of my favorites of all Android, both for the enormous possibilities and for how well implemented it is in the layer, One UI. As a new Samsung Galaxy lands in my hands to analyze, Good Lock is always one of the last apps I install. And with it falls Home Up.

Good Lock builds its extreme customization on different modules that are updated and installed separately. Each module focuses on a specific aspect of the phone. And the one I use the most is Home Up, an app that allows everything from modifying desktops to the trick that is the star of this article: the deck of cards in the last opened menu.

Let’s see how to completely change the multitasking menu on most Samsung Galaxy:

  • Download Good Lock from the Galaxy Store. It is the launcher that is responsible for managing all the modules.
  • Open Good Lock, tap on Home Up and download it from the Samsung store.
  • Access Home App from Good Lock and scroll down to “Task Changer”.
  • Look at the top selectors and check “Stack”. You already have the stack of cards active.
  • You can customize the last options screen by checking or unchecking the Home Up settings. Based on my usage, I only turn “Center the currently running app” (so that the stack centers the app you were using in the foreground) and “Switch to previous app with gestures” (to jump from one app to another by sliding your finger along the bottom of the screen; basic in multitasking).

Home Up has many more options for the One UI interface. From changing the cells of the desks to fully customize the share menu. Do not forget to try all these functions, nor the rest of the Good Lock modules: they are a great little wonder. Undoubtedly one of Samsung’s greatest successes in the field of Android customization.
