The rumors around the Apple viewer and Apple Glass continue, the next wearable devices dedicated respectively to virtual and augmented reality, currently under development at the Cupertino house.

As we all know, the first to arrive on the market should be the VR viewer, which could be presented as early as the first weeks of 2023, so we are talking about a device all in all very close to us. Apple is certainly working on several aspects of the headset, including the control systemwhich is the subject of the latest rumors that emerged thanks to the portal Patently Apple.

APPLE THINKS OF A

The indications come directly from a new patent discovered by Patently Apple, which describes a new control system designed for VR and AR devices. According to both the description and the attached images – below you will find one -, the solution designed by Apple involves the creation of what is termed a couple of VR Glovesor of gloves vr able to trace both the positioning of the hands and that of the fingersin order to transform them into gestures that can be used as an input system.

Obviously it is clear that Apple’s idea does not involve the use of real glovesbut of two bracelets with sensors very similar to those found in Apple Watchthanks to which it is possible to determine the position of the hands in space and establish contact between them, in order to access further gestures.

The system is also based on the inclusion of cameras and sensors present in the viewer, able to improve the accuracy of the detection of the hands, in particular that of the fingers. In short, it is possible that both the VR viewer and the Apple Glass can make use of a pair of accessories to wear during their use, in order to interact with the interface through simple gestures.
